  • Windows 9.7.1 (22 September 2020)

    Version 9.7.1 of Vision and Vision Pro do not required new license keys for 9.7 users, who are eligible to upgrade free of charge. Customers using a version of Vision that predates 9.7 must upgrade in order to download 9.7.1. For more information on your license or to purchase an upgrade, please contact Netop or your local Netop Partner.

    New Features:

    • Support for Microsoft Edge Chromium browser:  Filter web now supports the Microsoft Edge Chromium browser. When the Teacher turns on Filter web, the Student is allowed to navigate only to certain websites.
    • Support for the new Netop TeachPad:  Customers can use the new model of the TeachPad with Vision Pro.

    The Windows version 9.7 of Netop Vision and Netop Vision Pro is a major upgrade, that introduces new features and improvements. Version 9.7 of Vision and Vision Pro requires new license keys. Customers with a current Netop Advantage agreement are eligible to upgrade to the latest version free of charge. Customers without a valid Netop Advantage agreement need to purchase an upgrade to use the Windows version 9.7 of Netop Vision or Netop Vision Pro.     New Features:

    • Improved Support on Mozilla Firefox: Filter web is now supported on Mozilla Firefox version 74 and higher,. When the Teacher turns on Filter web, the Student is allowed to navigate only to certain websites.

      Fixes:

      • We've fixed an issue where if the teacher sends a file using the Chat feature and the student tries to open this document from the chat window, the application associated with the file is launched in the System context.

       

  • Windows 9.6.5 (25 October 2019)

    The Windows version 9.6.5 of Netop Vision and Netop Vision Pro includes new features and improvements. Version 9.6.5 of Vision and Vision Pro do not required new license keys for 9.6 users, who are eligible to upgrade free of charge. Customers using a version of Vision that predates 9.6 must upgrade in order to download 9.6.5.     New Features:

    • Send Message: To use this feature in a started class, click Send Message button from the Home tab or Shortcut Bar. The message can contain up to 200 characters and can be sent to the selected students or to all students in the classroom.
    • Snap to Grid: This feature allows teacher to precisely align the computers in the classroom to vertical and horizontal grid lines. When the student computer thumbnail is moved/dropped close to a grid line, the thumbnail will snap to it, aligning it precisely.
    • Freeze classroom layout: This feature allows system administrators to protect the classroom layout on a teacher computer by restoring the layout back to the saved configuration each time the application is restarted or the classroom is changed. The teacher is allowed to change the layout of the classroom, but the changes are not saved.
    • Improved support on Mozilla Firefox layout: A specific policy (available from Firefox 60, Firefox ESR 60) is enabled to prevent students from uninstalling or turning off the Vision Web Filter extension.

      Fixes:

      • We've fixed an issue with the Network Computers pane (from Classroom Properties page or Create Classroom page) being empty when Microsoft disabled the "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support" protocol in Windows 10.

  • Mac 9.6 (7 December 2017)

    The Mac version 9.6 of Netop Vision and Netop Vision Pro is a major upgrade, that introduces new features and improvements. Version 9.6 of Vision and Vision Pro requires new license keys. Customers with a current Netop Advantage agreement are eligible to upgrade to the latest version free of charge. Customers without a valid Netop Advantage agreement need to purchase an upgrade to use the Mac version 9.6 of Netop Vision or Netop Vision Pro.     Starting with version 9.6 for Mac, the Mac student module is no longer supporting Windows teacher computers. (Windows to Mac environments). Vision for Mac is compatible only between computers using macOS.

    New Features:

    • Choose which Screen to Demo: If you have multiple monitors, when starting Demo, you are prompted to choose which display to Demo to the selected students. Note: If you only have one screen, you will not be prompted to choose the Demo display.
    • Support for Silent Deployment: You can now silently deploy Vision for Mac on student devices, without having to manually type the license, which is encoded into the deployment package. For more information, see Silent Deployment on macOS.
    • New Attention Overlay Graphics: The new overlay graphics offer a peek of what the student was doing before Attention was enabled.
    • Showcase: Popular feature “Showcase”, letting students display their screens and share their work on every computer screen in the class.
    • Live View: New Live View feature that allows teachers to enlarge selected student screens for better viewing. Teachers see exactly what a specific student is doing in real time in a re-sizable window.
    • Vision TeachPad: Vision TeachPad hardware support. The TeachPad is a simple, five-button keypad, that allows teachers to operate Vision's core classroom management features with the push of a button.
    • Manually add computers to the classroom that are not included in the network list.
    • Teacher controlled Classroom Connectivity. Enables user to create a teacher-controlled classroom by adding Mac student computers on the network to be part of the class.
    • Additional language support: French, Spanish, Dutch. Already supported languages: English and German.
