Netop is offering its secure Remote Control software at no charge to users affected by the Symantec pcAnywhere security breach. The free licenses will be offered for a duration of thirty days in unlimited quantities.  Learn more. 

The latest update to Netop Remote Control, Version 11 (build 2012027) - released on January 30, 2012 - introduced a number new features and improvements. This is a major release and requires a new license key to upgrade. Customers enrolled in Netop's Advantage support plan can upgrade at no additional cost.

What’s New in Netop Remote Control 11?

• A new “Tunnel” function that creates a secure connection between the Guest and Host modules and allows application ports to be redirected from the Host to the Guest through the Tunnel. This allows the Guest to run local applications while interacting with the connected Host and without having to remote control the Host machine. The Tunnel is ideally suited for, but not limited to, environments where a traditional desktop is either not used or available.
• Improved compatibility when using Linux and Mac Hosts with the Security Server
• Ability to bind to a specific network interface  for improved communication
• Allow each Guest to run simultaneous sessions with different Hosts via WebConnect
• Enhanced Blank Screen feature for improved compatibility with newer Windows operating systems
