New Version: Netop Mobile Host 9.5
The latest update to Netop Mobile & Embedded Host version 9.51 (build 2010257) is a maintenance release available since September 28th, 2010. The last major release release of Netop Mobile & Embedded Host (version 9.5) was launched on February 24, 2010 and introduced a number of enhancements to help you remotely manage your mobile workforce and embedded systems.

Platform support
Following the recent desktop and mobile operating system releases from Microsoft, we have introduced official support in Netop Mobile & Embedded 9.5 Host extended our platform support capabilities even further.
- Windows Mobile 6.x - the Mobile Host now supports the latest releases of Microsoft's Windows Mobile platform including Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5 (Classic, Standard and Professional editions)
- Windows Embedded CE 6.0 - the latest embedded platform from Microsoft is now supported using the Mobile Host. This release provides support for the Nordic ID Morphic device although other CE 6.0 devices can be supported upon request
- Windows 7 - the Mobile Host Manager can now be used with Windows 7 including Starter, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise (32-bit and 64-bit editions)
Netop WebConnect
Netop Mobile & Embedded Host 9.5 introduces support for Netop WebConnect. Netop WebConnect is an internet friendly connection service that allows Netop applications to communicate across the internet using the HTTP protocol without additional configuration to corporate firewalls, proxies or routers.
Using Netop Mobile with Netop WebConnect offers direct connectivity to a device across a mobile network (GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA, etc) without the end user requesting help. Netop WebConnect consists of a Connection Manager and at least one Connection Server to provide a complete HTTP solution. Customers can setup and maintain their own WebConnect solution or simply configure their Netop modules to use the WebConnect service hosted by Netop.

Mobile Skins
In order to improve the usability when supporting mobile devices, it is now possible to view and control your mobile Host using a graphical representation of your device. Using a Skin allows the Netop Remote Control 9.5 Guest to control a mobile device not only using standard keyboard and mouse control but also the physical device-specific buttons and keys. This offers a smarter way to support mobile devices with quicker access to key functions and commands making it particularly useful when supporting non-touch screen devices.
