Danware launches new version of NetOp® Instruct

The Danish IT company, Danware, announces the launch of its version 5.5 of NetOp® Instruct - a software program for teaching and knowledge sharing in businesses and organizations.

Birkerød, 25 February, 2008 - Danware is launching version 5.5 of its leading software program for IT-based knowledge sharing and teaching in businesses and organizations. NetOp® Instruct is a user-friendly plug-and-play program especially suited for internal teaching situations, for instance, when new employees are introduced to internal IT systems at their work place.

"With most traditional and internal communication channels, there is always a certain risk that messages do not reach their recipients, which is the case with regards to, for example, intranet and e-mail. But a NetOp® Instruct solution will maintain the most important resource of businesses, namely the know-how of its employees," says Product Manager Ole Haag, Danware.

Many businesses use knowledge sharing and still teach their employees by means of PowerPoint and a projector, but with NetOp® Instruct, the teacher can plan and carry out an entire course from his or her own computer screen. And in the teaching situation, the teacher can monitor what happens on the attendees' screens and, for instance, involve them by letting them take over the screen presentation for the rest of the class.

The teaching can also be made interactive so both attendees and teachers can communicate with each other along the way - just as it is possible to transfer sound, images, and video between the attendees' screens.

Pass the chalk and make the cooperation more efficient
NetOp® Instruct can also be used profitably outside the classroom; the program makes it possible to communicate important information quickly and efficiently, and it provides new opportunities of cooperation between the employees of a business.

By using NetOp® Instruct, employees can broadcast their computer screen so they can share information internally with the other employees and work on the same documents at the same time or very quickly take over control of the joint screen. This ensures fast interaction and updated information sharing, which is particularly relevant for business with huge production environments.

"For example, a working group can monitor the development of a concrete project while one of the employees is working on the project. And the remaining group members can take control of the joint screen at any time and, in this way, take the baton - this is also known as the pass the chalk principle. This is especially relevant for project-oriented businesses in which several different departments are working together," says Product Manager Ole Haag, Danware.

NetOp® Instruct - a recognized tool in the car industry
In Germany, one of the leading banks within the automobile industry uses NetOp® Instruct in its internal education center where the employees upgrade their skills and develop their competencies.

Moreover, Danware will be represented by its German subsidiary at this year's CeBIT fair, which will take place in Hanover from 4 to 9 March. At the fair, it will be possible to learn much more about NetOp® Instruct and the many opportunities that the program has to offer.

NetOp® Instruct takes up less than 20 MB of memory and works with both LAN and WAN networks. In addition, the program supports 802.11 g wireless networks and all common Windows operating systems. Today, NetOp® Instruct is available in more than 80 countries worldwide.
