Danware Data changes name to Netop

The Danish software company Danware Data A/S becomes Netop A/S as of today. The change will streamline all the company names and brands within the group as they will all share the same name leading to an overall stronger brand identity.

Copenhagen, June 11, 2008 - The Danish software company Danware Data A/S today changes its name to Netop A/S, in line with the overall ambition to expand globally. The Danish headquarters in Birkerød, Denmark, is now called Netop, just as the product portfolio and all the subsidiaries in the US, Great Britain, Germany, and China.

"Netop is an exceptionally strong brand, and our products are well known and respected all over the world. Our subsidiaries are already called Netop - so this is a perfectly natural development for Danware. We are still Danish, but in a global market it makes more sense to have an international name. We are leveraging this name-change to usher in a new era where we will approach the market more aggressively and expand our sales force significantly, both geographically and in terms of manpower," says CEO Kurt Bager, Netop.

More resources to accelerate growth
Netop has three main areas of business in the market for remote management solutions, in which it is one of the major players: Netop Desktop Management, Netop Education, and Netop Live. The core product in Desktop Management, NetOp Remote Control, enables remote control of one or more computers, while NetOp School, the core product of education, is used for computer-based classroom teaching. With the newly announced distribution deal with Medianet Innovations, Netop is creating a new area of business with Netop Live: a program that offers a complete suite of online communication solutions that enable co-workers and partners to work together and communicate independently of time and place.
