Frequently Asked Questions: Partner Portal Access
What is the Netop Partner Portal?
The Netop Partner Portal gives you access to content exclusively for Netop partners. Our goal is to provide our partners with fast and easy access to up-to-date information about Netop products, marketing materials, sales support materials, trial software licenses, and much more. We've integrated most of the current information and partner resources from Netop, GenevaLogic and MediaNet into one secure site and implemented a new document management system to provide everything you need to successfully sell and support Netop products.
Who can use the Netop Partner Portal?
Any qualified Netop partner/reseller who is currently registered in our program. If you have questions about how the portal can help your business, contact your Netop representative.
What is a Netop.com account?
Many visitors to our site choose to make a Netop.com account so they can receive special benefits, such as newsletters and free trials of our products. Making an account also can help auto-fill forms so you don't have to re-type your information every time you request something or download a product.
What is the difference between a Netop.com account and the sign-up for the Netop Partner Portal?
Anyone who comes to our site can make a Netop.com account so we can remember who they are the next time they visit. Only Netop partners will be approved to have special privileges added to their account so they can access the portal resources.. If you have a Netop.com account, you also need to request access to the portal so we can verify that you are a partner. However, if you apply for access to the partner portal, that's the only thing you need to do.
I already have an account on your site. If you know who I am, why do you need more information?
Many different kinds of visitors to our site can make a Netop.com account, including customers and potential customers. For example, anyone who downloads one of our products can make an account. We need to verify that you are a Netop partner to give you access to the exclusive information available on the partner portal.
Why are you asking me for my business e-mail address?
We ask for your business e-mail because we have pre-approved many of our valued partners based on the domain name (the name of your Web site). When we can match your e-mail address with a domain name that we know and trust, your access to the portal is immediately approved and you receive immediate access.
Can I use an e-mail address that is not my business e-mail?
Sure. However, it does slow down the approval process just a bit. We have to make sure that you are someone we know if you use an e-mail that we don't recognize. We'll look over your information and get back to you as soon as we can verify your request.
I'm getting a message that says that my e-mail is already being used, what does that mean?
That means that we have your e-mail address on record. You may have created an account on Netop.com from a previous request for information or while downloading a product. If you don't remember your password, use the 'forgot password' link and we'll send it to that e-mail address.
I know I've been to your site before, why can't you find me?
You may have visited us before but we don't have this particular e-mail address on file. Perhaps you used a different e-mail address or we just don't have an account for you. Go ahead and make a new account so you can use the portal.
How do I recover my password?
Just go to the 'Forgot Password' link and follow the instructions and we'll send you an e-mail with login instructions.
Do I have to wait for an e-mail to get access to the portal?
Yes. If we can verify your e-mail address automatically, we'll send you an e-mail immediately. If we are unable to verify your e-mail address with our records, we'll have someone review your request as soon as possible.
Who should I contact if I have problems?
If you have a question about products or your relationship with Netop, you can contact your Netop representative. If you aren't sure who that is, send us an e-mail. If you have a problem with the way that our Web site is working, let our webmaster know.
