Latest release

Version 7.3.1 of Netop Vision Pro, released on March 28th, 2012, is a maintenance update for both Netop Vision and Netop Vision Pro and provides a number of defect resolutions. It also provides a combined migration installer for Netop School customers wishing to migrate to Netop Vision Pro. Netop’s premium solution for classroom management, Vision Pro, was launched in January 2012 and is the next generation of Netop School.

License keys

No license key is required to use the 30-day trial version of Vision Pro. Trials are limited to 30 student computers.

Netop Vision Pro version 7.3.1 is available at no cost to customers currently using version 7.3 of Vision Pro or with a valid Netop Advantage annual support and upgrade program; it does not require new license keys.

Vision Pro free upgrade for Netop School customers

Customers with Netop School version 6 with a current Netop Advantage plan are eligible for a free upgrade to Netop Vision Pro. When ready to upgrade, Netop School customers can get license keys using the Vision Pro license key request form here.

Vision Pro free trial

Vision customers who download version 7.3.1 can receive a free trial of Vision Pro features. To access the trial, follow these instructions:

Vision customers with version 7.0 and higher

Customers with Vision version 7.0 through 7.2 installed should download and install Vision version 7.3. After the installation, open the Vision license manager application on the teacher’s computer and delete the license key. NOTE: Write down your license key before deleting. You will need to re-enter it after the trial period in order to continue running Vision. When the Vision key is deleted, a 30-day trial of Vision Pro is automatically activated and the Vision Pro features are exposed. After the trial period, the product will stop working. The customer must re-enter the Vision license key in the Vision license manager. Once the key is re-entered, Vision works as before without the Vision Pro features exposed.

Vision customers with older versions:

For customers with Vision versions 6.9 and older, Netop recommends running the Vision Pro demo software on a clean test lab that does not have Vision currently installed.  Installing Vision Pro over these versions will overwrite the customer’s current Vision installation, requiring you to uninstall Vision Pro and reinstall the old version of Vision at the end of the Vision Pro trial period.

Netop upgrade and support policy

Netop encourages customers to stay current with the latest version of Netop School, which is Vision Pro. Upgrades to Vision Pro and technical support are free for customers who have purchased Netop School within the last year, or who have a current Netop Advantage annual support and upgrade policy. To obtain your license key for Vision Pro, use the Vision Pro license key request form.

Vision customers wishing to move up to Vision Pro, Netop's new, premium classroom management software offering, may do so for an additional fee.

Customers using an older version of Netop School may purchase an upgrade to Netop Vision Pro, as long as that version has not been terminated by Netop. Currently versions 6.0 and higher of Netop School are eligible for upgrades.

Version 5.5, and all older versions of Netop School have been terminated, and are not eligible for technical support or upgrade pricing. To upgrade a terminated version you will need to purchase a new license for Netop Vision Pro.
