MyVision Free FAQ

Q: Can I really get free classroom management software from Netop?

A: Yes. Netop makes a very basic version of our classroom management software, called MyVision Free, available to teachers and schools at no charge.

Q: What features does Netop's free classroom management software include?

A: With the free version of MyVision you can monitor student computer screens from any teacher's computer. You can see a thumbnail view of every student's computer, or a full-screen view of an individual student's computer screen. You can set up multiple classrooms, and you can arrange the layout of the thumbnail views to match the layout of the classroom.

Q: What if I want to conduct demonstrations, block web-surfing or use other standard classroom management features?

A: You can upgrade your MyVision Free account easily by purchasing a subscription to MyVision Basic at any time. MyVision Basic includes additional features that enable teachers to control student computer use and guide student learning. Every MyVision Free account starts with a free 30-day trial of MyVision Basic. If you don't choose to purchase a subscription, then your MyVision account will revert to just the free features automatically at the end of thirty days.

Q: How many student computers can I monitor?

A: There is no limit to the number of student computers you can supervise with MyVision Free.

Q: Do I have to supply a credit card, or commit to purchase anything in order to use MyVision Free?

A: No. There are no strings or catches. Simply set up your login account, download the MyVision software and install it in your classroom.

Q: What kinds of computers does MyVision work on?

A: MyVision works with PCs and with newer Macs that are connected to the teacher computer via a local area network. With version 1.1, MyVision added support for classrooms that mix Macs and PCs. For more details please see the MyVision technical specifications.
